Congratulations to Jacqueline "Jackie" Charron
Professional Women's Chamber 2017 Woman of the Year.

2017 Woman of the Year

Jackie is chief risk officer, senior vice president of operations and information technology for PeoplesBank in Holyoke. She has been noted as having a leadership style that can best be described as a pursuit of knowledge. Jackie is known for asking the questions that others might hesitate to, but not to be provocative or seek the limelight. She simply is seeking knowledge.

Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Mount Holyoke College while working as a teller at PeoplesBank. She went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

In her ongoing pursuit of knowledge, Jackie has done post-graduate work at Babson College (Massachusetts Bankers Association - School of Financial Studies), Villanova University (Master Certificate in Lean Six Sigma), and Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business Leadership Program.

Even after 32 years, Jackie continues to build a successful career at Peoples, where today she leads a team of 40 associates in Deposit Operations, Information Technology, Electronic Banking, Risk and Compliance.

Jackie has served at the leadership level of many community and business organizations, including The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Girls Inc., the South Hadley and Holyoke Chambers of Commerce, and United Way of Pioneer Valley.

She has accomplished all of this in addition to achieving a work/life balance and being a wonderful mother to her four children. For Jackie, volunteering doesn't stop at the end of a workday. It continues in her personal life, as she aligns her personal commitments with her interests and those of her family. She enjoys volunteering at the Holyoke St. Patrick's Day Road Race and at activities and fundraisers, which support her children's academic and athletic interests. You can find her working the concession stand at a high school girls' soccer game or attending a gala for the Fine Arts Center or Bright Nights.

We are so excited to have Jackie Charron as our 2017 Woman of the Year!
